Usually, this list features only five games, but College Football Week 8's slate of games made it hard to stick to just those few. The SEC will see some carnage this week, and this trend will continue throughout the season. Not breaking any news by stating that it is the deepest conference in the country. It simply means that they will typically have the most competitive games each weekend.

Last week, Off the Field and Screen went 2-3. Let us know if you beat that, and if you agree that these will be the five best games.
Top College Football Week 8 Games Quick List
5 Ole Miss @ 9 Georgia Saturday 3:30 PM ET on ESPN
11 Tennessee @ 6 Alabama Saturday 7:30 PM ET on ESPN
10 LSU @ 11 Vanderbilt Saturday 12:00 PM ET on ABC
20 USC @ 13 Notre Dame Saturday 7:30 PM ET on NBC
23 Utah @ 15 BYU Saturday 8:00 PM ET on FOX
12 Georgia Tech @ Duke Saturday 1:00 PM on ESPN
5 Ole Miss @ 9 Georgia
Lane Kiffin has had a great run this season, and his name is popping up in coaching carousel conversations, but why would he leave Ole Miss right as the program prepares to break through the middle level of the SEC to the top level? Perhaps it would be easier to coach against Sherrone Moore than it would be to do so against Kirby Smart. Georgia has consistently been among the nation's top programs for a while now, but are they in the hunt for another National Title? A game like this will tell for sure, but it seems unlikely that Georgia will lose at home twice this season.
Betting Odds: Georgia -6.5 (Per ESPN)
Off the Field and Screen Pick: Georgia
11 Tennessee @ 6 Alabama
Tennessee is one of many SEC programs knocking on the door to be considered among the elite. While Josh Heupel has done a good job there, it doesn't seem like they can punch through that wall just yet. Kalen DeBoer is consistently featured on the overreactions and underreactions segment of this website. In other words, the media tends to overreact to their losses and underreact to their wins. It's still early, but Alabama has the talent ot compete with Ohio State and Miami for the top spot. Of course, their loss to FSU will keep them out of it, but watch out in the College Football Playoff.
Betting Odds: Alabama -8.5 (Per ESPN)
Off the Field and Screen Pick: Alabama
10 LSU @ 11 Vanderbilt
Vanderbilt has secured a spot among a tier of teams that includes Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and LSU. Vanderbilt has an argument for being at the upper end, and LSU has one for the lower end. Brian Kelly is one of the nation's most overrated coaches, with his fake accents and blustering in post-game interviews. These are clever covers for his lack of success at the national level. Clark Lea, on the other hand, has Vanderbilt soaring. This game is a tale of two coaches on opposite paths.
Betting Odds: Vanderbilt -2.5 (Per ESPN)
Off the Field and Screen Pick: Vanderbilt
20 USC @ 13 Notre Dame
This game is perhaps the most consequential of the weekend, as it could knock USC or Notre Dame out of the CFP. Notre Dame has looked good since starting 0-2. At the time, the path to the CFP felt unclimbable, but Marcus Freeman has gotten the Fighting Irish back in it, with some help from a strong season from Miami and Texas A&M. Lincoln Riley and USC are coming off a season-defining victory against the Michigan Wolverines. Unlike last week, though, he isn't a far superior coach to his opponent. USC will need to perform even better to take down Notre Dame on the road.
Betting Odds: Notre Dame -7.5 (Per ESPN)
Off the Field and Screen Pick: Notre Dame
23 Utah @ 15 BYU
Another weekend, another chance for the Big 12 to cut itself down to one CFP team. Utah took Arizona State out of the running last week. Can they do it to BYU this week, or will the roles be reversed? Can BYU put itself on a collision course to play Texas Tech as an undefeated team in a few weeks? Or will they lose here or even to Cincinnati? The Big 12 is evenly spread out, but with few true standouts. It's anyone's conference.
Betting Odds: Utah -3.5 (Per ESPN)
Off the Field and Screen Pick: BYU
12 Georgia Tech @ Duke
Georgia Tech has been one of college football's great stories this season. In the ACC, they've been overshadowed by Miami and FSU's strong starts (and in the case of Miami, their continued strong play) and Clemson's downfall. However, Duke has also looked good. You read that right. Not basketball. Football. The Blue Devils have quietly put together a good season after a slow start. The Duke offense has been humming, and Georgia Tech's season could come crashing down with a loss to them this week. While Duke doesn't have a shot at the CFP this year, it could lay the groundwork for them to eventually be in the conversation. Manny Diaz could be the conference's next Dabo Swinney instead of Brent Key or Tony Elliott.
Betting Odds: Duke -2.5 (Per ESPN)
Off the Field and Screen Pick: Duke
